Global Grace Team in Gustav
After a number of years of working post-hurricane, 11 members of our church and Dr. Joel Tetreau are caught in Tropical Storm Gustav. This afternoon’s word had it that they were busily boarding up the windows and that the power had gone out. Last word this evening was that they were hunkered down and waiting for the arrival of the storm which is supposed to hit them within hours.
Joel Tetreau was scheduled to do a wedding on Saturday but all the flight in and out of Jamaica are stopped. The team (which includes 5 teens) is upbeat and confident. They know who is God of the Storm and they all believe that this storm was appointed. While we are confident that they are going to be okay, we are still praying and are grateful for your prayers as well.
People who know Joel Tetreau might imagine that he is inviting my church people to gather around the campfire and roast marshmellows about right now!
