Clarity is Good
In a day when ambiguity is in vogue, this public testimony on PBS was refreshing. Al Mohler is crystal clear.
“Well, I believe that the Bible is the Word that leads us to the gospel that saves, and Ray, I believe that it is the only gospel that saves. I believe that the word that all humans need to hear is that they are sinners, and that they are desperately in need a Savior, and that Savior is Jesus Christ. And I believe that the Bible is the only book, the only revelation that is going to get persons to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul said that ‘faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.’ We find that in the Bible, and that’s why the Bible is so central to the lives of Christians and so central to our communication and witness of the gospel to other peoples as well.” (HT: CA)
The word ambiguity makes me think of the emerging church people. You know, Rob Bell, et. al. That’s why I’m looking forward to this book coming out. (HT: JT)
Clarity is good.
