My Heavy Heart
First of all, the good news: a wonderful Christian family has decided to adopt this young boy from Russia. He will not have to return to the orphanage for handicap children on June 4th because this family has stepped up to make him one of their own. Please pray that the adoption works out.
Now for the burden:
I happen to know of another young man, 13 years old, who was brought here to the States by a generous Christian doctor in order to be treated. He was given a prosthetic leg and is doing well. However, the doctor’s burden is that a Christian family would adopt this boy. If no one can adopt him, he will return to Russia in June and very likely put on the streets when he turns 18. The best medical and dental care in America has been offered for this boy until he is an adult, but he can not enjoy that until he has something far more valuable, a family.
My heart breaks for this child. Several times in the night I awoke to pray earnestly that God would spare this child from the hard life in the orphanage and give him a godly home where he can grow in the nuture and admonition of the Lord. I cannot give details on my website, but if you or someone you know feel led to investigate this case with the intention of considering adoption, please contact me at bobbixby@gmail.com.
Time is short.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world (James 1:27)

we live in ukraine where the situation is very similar. orphans are forced to leave their facilities at 16 or 18, and many become criminals or prostitutes.
please consider adopting this boy.
