How is it good that someone was fired at the whim of Jesse et al? I don’t know anything about Imus and maybe he was a problematic character, but I can’t see this comment that he made being worthy of firing. Stupid, sure. Should he have been fired for it? No.

Just more politically correct stupidity getting totally blown out of proportion. This kind of thing doesn’t deserve to be front headlines for a week straight! The guy should just apologize and the ‘[deleted by blog manager] should just get over it.

I agree that Imus should have been fired, but since Sharpton says it is not necessary to “be misogynist and racist to be creative or to be commercial in this country” I hope he now turns his sights on the rap music industry.

But I’m not holding my breath.
