Corban
On January 9 Samuel Corban was born. Jennie, Patience, and I packed our car and headed to South Carolina to await his arrival on December 6th. Little did we know that it would not be until over 8 weeks later that we would pack the four of us in our Avalone and make the long trek back to the frozen tundra of an Illinois in the grip of sub-zero weather. Little did we know that God would combine this huge blessing with many challenges, many victories, many stories, and many amazing providences.
But it is always best that we do not know everything in advance.
Now we are home. Corban is a beautiful baby. He seems healthy in every way. We have some concerns simply because he was exposed to drugs in his pre-born days. But he seems to be amazingly fit!
I intend to re-enter the blogging world whenever I can. There are so many things that I started last year that I would like to pursue as time permits. However, sleep is a precious commodity these days and I have very much to do for a very patient church that has entered this extended wait with great patience.
But the main point is this: We once were three and now we are four.
