To do: Scratch blogging. Adopt son.

Everything extraneous (and even a few necessary things) are being put on hold, postponed, delayed, or abandoned. Several time consuming things going on right now.

Besides the fact that we are trying to move into a small-ish, contemporary-looking, business park office-warehouse built out to be a meeting place for our church, thereby defying the building-mania of contemporary churchianity and putting in place the long-term strategy for future growth (we may only be in the place a couple years), we are going through leadership transition.

But the BIG news is even bigger. Two weeks ago yesterday Jennie and I got a call.

“A bi-racial baby is due to be born in December. A boy. Would you be interested in adopting?”

We are in happy shock.

As you might imagine, this has intensified life. The story of our experience can be read in detail at this site. It is password protected so if you want to read it please, please write me. The only reason I have it password protected is that I have been harrassed by liberal, atheistic adoption advocates who equate Christian upbringing as abusive. I don’t want them interfering.

But we do covet your prayers. We are amazed at what God has done already.

I have several conversations I want to continue as soon as things settle down. I want to keep commenting on “Earnest” and I want to probe the music/culture discussion even further. But church and family are my life right now.

And I love it.
