World Cup and Hiatus

Update: A blog suited, perhaps, more to the interests of our local church body. But, again, all are invited. Morning Star Miscellanies.

I’m taking a hiatus from Pensees. I do have a number of thoughtful articles in the making, but I’m not in a hurry to get them up. Need to think through a strategy for Pensees’ future. Need a break. I have been blessed with decent readership. But, frankly, that doesn’t drive me. I don’t have advertisers! I do like to fancy that my blogging is edifying to some, and that is encouraging. But it is demanding. So, I need to strategize.

But I do like to comment on stuff - even unimportant stuff. Like the World Cup. So, if you are interested in my unmitigated and probably biased and misguided opinions on teams and things not important, join me over at Nachos and Dip. I’m just hanging out there. There I’m just chatting with friends (if they show up), munching on chips, and enjoying the occasional male ego trip as a critic of players and coaches who have more soccer knowledge in the little toe of their non-kicking foot than I do in my entire relaxing-chair prone body. It’s why I call it Nachos and Dip.

I’m not trying to get an audience (Bloggers are so often misunderstood as self-absorbed megalomaniacs - but really, we’re just friendly and transparent people with the gift (or is it a curse?) of gab. We are really not offended if you don’t show up! In fact, we don’t expect you to if you don’t want to. But, if you’re interested, we don’t mind speaking our mind.) So, all that to say this: I’m just posting this as a lazy way to let all two of my friends who share the same interests know where I’m at. So, come on in. (If you care to, of course).
