Burggraff at MSBC

Brian McCrorie said this just recently in a report about Clearwater Christian College:

”. . . with the recent addition of Dave Burggraff as the Vice President of Spiritual Formation and Ministry Development, Clearwater has gained a distinct advantage over many schools, in my opinion. Dr. Burggraff is, simply, one of the foremost theologians of our day. If that surprises you, it is because he is a master at staying beneath the radar. He is not interested in fame or limelight. He possesses a quiet humility. He also has a heart for students that is unmatched in my experience. His tenure as a pastor and seminary leader has well-equipped his heart and mind. Men training for ministry should consider Clearwater if for no other reason than sitting at the feet of Dr. Burggraff. Your heart will be mentored to the same extent as your mind.”

Our congregation enjoyed Dave Burggraff tonight. He is teaching a block course at Maranatha Baptist Bible College this week and he swung down to spend part of the afternoon with Jennie and me. We enjoyed several hours of good fellowship. I asked him to speak to our midweek people, and the folks loved him. He is a great speaker.

Jennie and I have loved Dave and Lucy Burggraff ever since we first met them a number of years ago. We (Dave and I) share a real interest in WWII. In fact, we spent several days touring Normandy together and enjoying French cuisine. (I think Dave dreams of writing a culinary guide someday). If anybody wants to go with two WWII buffs to Normandy, France, give me a call. We are talking about doing it again sometime.

Pastor,
Thank you for inviting Dr. Burgraff to speak to us. What a blessing and encouragement his message was in the middle of a long week!

I’d volunteer for a Normandy trip, but I believe that you’re already prejudiced against including me on that trip due to past incidents regarding lengthy WWII tales. :-)

I had the pleasure of traveling with Bob & Dr. Burgraff to Normandy. It was one of many moving experiences that summer while I lived in “BOB- LAND” I know I’m forever grateful for the chance to visit.
