Am I Cindy Sheehan?
I have been likened to Cindy Sheehan in the worship war. That is a dizzying title and I’m trying not to let it go to my head. At first I dismissed this with a chuckle, but I’m flattered. Usually people think of me as hawkish. The evidence is in that some believe me to be dove-ish. This is huge! Spread the word! I have referred to Scott and his buddies as the D.W. Clouds of music so I take it in good humor to be likened to anything or anybody by Scott (good humor is what Scott intended, I’m sure). This is a little quid pro quo and I’m having fun with it. At first, I thought the comparison was a stretch. However, I know that Scott wouldn’t do anything without careful premeditation and that, much like classical music, there must be subtleties to his metaphors and analogies that only deep thinking can discover. Suddenly, the brilliance of this comparison struck me. Cindy Sheehan and I are so much alike. Consider this:
Cindy: American
Me: American
Cindy: White
Me: White
Cindy: A Woman
Me. Married to a Woman (The resemblance is uncanny. It’s getting freaky).
Cindy: A Mother
Me: Have a Mother
Cindy: Ugly.
Me: Ugly. (Are we twins?)
Cindy: Thinks she’s smarter than she is.
Me: Aww, shucks! I guess I’m not that smart.
Cindy: Has been known to wear collarless shirts to important meetings.
Me: Guilty as charged.
Cindy: Protesting a war that she thinks is not being fought legitimately.
Me: Protesting illegitimate fighting in a good war.
Now, somebody go and make me a t-shirt!

This is too good! :)

I would like to see you continue this line of thought. It has already proven to be entertaining enough to keep me from three papers that I need to write. :)
I must say in your defense, your facial hair may be your one unique feature that would distinguish the two of you (unless someone knows something about Cindy Sheehan that I do not know).
Btw, I appreciated the testimonies that were given at the NLC with regard to your stand on the truth. I praise the Lord for men like you, Jason, Greg, Joel, Tom, and others. Keeping you in my prayers.
