It’s Official: Money is Not a Panacea

In case you never realized this, there is a new study that shows that money doesn’t buy happiness.

Yawn. Sigh. Some of us knew that already.

Let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practises steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth (Jeremiah 9:23,24)

More to be desired are they [Holy Scriptures] than gold, even much fine gold (Psalm 19:10)

Take my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her (Proverbs 8:10,11)

The enjoyment of God is the only happiness with which our souls can be satisfied. To go to heaven, fully to enjoy God, is infinitely better than the most pleasant accommodations here (Jonathan Edwards).

If riches increase, set not your heart upon them (Psalm 62:10).

” It is better to live naked in truth than clothed in fantasy.” Not my quote but thought I’d share.
