Religious Affections Radio
I cannot say enough for Religious Affections Radio. I finally tapped into it last week and my days have been filled with the strains of beautiful, God-honoring, reflective music. It is perfect for relaxing the mind, calming the soul, and I must admit that it was very useful for me in my spiritual struggles last week. I had a lot of difficulty dealing with my flesh, the world, and the Devil while I sat at my desk trying to read and study. The music of Religious Affections Radio in the background soothed my spirit and, from time to time, I would reach across the desk, turn up the dial, and listen meditatively on the great themes that were transmitted to my consciousness through the medium of rich music.
I strongly urge you to make Religious Affections Radio a part of your listening routine. For those of you who work with a computer and high-speed internet, you have at your disposal a wonderful resource for your continuous listening pleasure, a pleasure that combines to edify your spirit and strengthen your soul. Listen.

Mozilla Users, you may experience a little more difficulty hooking up. I finally switched to IE just for listening to RAR. I remain faithful, however, to Mozilla for the rest of my browsing needs.
Posted by: Bob at February 13, 2006 11:52 AMHeresy! Actually, I have no problems listening to it with RealPlayer opened by Firefox, on Linux. No IEs in sight.
Posted by: Austin M at February 13, 2006 12:09 PMI’ve had no problems bypassing the browser entirely and listening directly through iTunes.
Posted by: Greg Linscott at February 13, 2006 01:27 PMI realize that I have exposed my browser ecumenicalism for my pragmatic use of IE, but someone in my church just told me that he had difficulty connecting with RAR with his Mozilla. We are not techies by any stretch of the imagination so that may be the real problem.
Posted by: Bob at February 13, 2006 01:34 PMI have been very disappointed that FF doesn’t handle Live365 broadcasts very well. Even I, an avid IE hater, do use it to listen to RAR. I like to watch the playlist, and would rather have only one window open as opposed to a window and Real Player.
I am glad that people are finding it to be helpful, though. Any suggestions are welcome.
Posted by: Scott Aniol at February 13, 2006 01:46 PMThis is great. Thanks for the tip.
Posted by: Gordon Cloud at February 13, 2006 05:54 PMI can’t access it through the corporate proxy. I may be able to download additional programs that would make it happen, but I am a software minimalist so I haven’t explored that option yet.
Posted by: Michael C. at February 14, 2006 08:38 AMMichael, from what I understand, Live365 (the service I use) is blocked at BJ. Sorry!
Posted by: Scott Aniol at February 14, 2006 09:09 AMThat’s believable—a lot of streaming feeds are. I think I’ve known Mac people who have gotten Live365 stuff to work, but I could be wrong.
