Read Your Bible, Pray Everyday

It might become a tradition. Twice, now, at the end of the year, I have read/preached Thomas Watson’s “A Godly Man is a Lover of the Word”—complete with handouts. I thought I’d share it with the blog friends. In the following handouts, you’ll find a significant part of Watson’s “Lover the Word” sermon, J.C. Ryle’s recommendations for reading the Bible, my four “legitimate motivations for Bible reading,” and various tips for daily Bible reading. We have experienced the reviving effect of intensified Bible reading in our congregation, and we long to see more of it.

Two PDF documents available for downloading and printing:

“Love the Word in 2006” (complete) 168 kb, 8 pp.
“Love the Word in 2006” (with blanks) 176 kb, 8 pp.

This looks very good. It’s generous of you to share it.
