Rest
Jennie and I enjoyed a wonderful week at Highpoint Bed and Breakfast in Freeport, Il under the care of Deer Ridge Ministries. David and Louise Decker were wonderful hosts who are on a mission: give pastors and their spouses a place to retreat for physical rest, marital rejuvination, and spiritual refreshment free of charge! There was no schedule. We ate supper with the Deckers (Louise is an outstanding cook!) and two other pastoral couples each night. The accomodations are beautiful (we stayed in the Veranda Suite), the food was delicious, the price unbeatable! I thank the Lord for these good people.
